was researching on PMS. the cause is obvious yet the remedies are more important to help both the guys and the ladies.

Tips on controlling PMS:
- Eat complex carbohydrates (such as whole grain breads, pasta and cereals), fiber and protein. - Cut back on sugar and fat.
- Avoid salt for the last few days before your period to reduce bloating and fluid retention.
- Cut back on caffeine to feel less tense and irritable and to ease breast soreness.
- Cut out alcohol. Drinking it before your period can make you feel more depressed.
- Try eating up to 6 small meals a day instead of 3 larger ones.
- Get aerobic exercise. Work up to 30 minutes, 4 to 6 times a week.
- Get plenty of sleep--about 8 hours a night.
- Keep to a regular schedule of meals, bedtime and exercise.
- Try to schedule stressful events for the week after your period.

Some vitamins and other supplements, such as vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, manganese and tryptophan, can help relieve PMS. There haven't been many studies about these treatments, and it's possible that they could do more harm than good. For example, vitamin B6 and vitamin E can cause side effects if you take too much.

Perhaps thats y cereals are good for soothing PMS.

Refer to this >>>

Are these cereals heart-healthy? (from http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/hc/wom/fitn/alert09072001.jsp)
Nutrition for Women and Harmony provide a good portion of the daily nutrients a woman needs to stay healthy. For example, they both contain certain vitamins that have been scientifically linked to protecting the heart. Because heart disease is the number-one killer of women, this is an important distinction. Enhanced levels of vitamin E may provide protection from the damaging effects of free radicals. Extra folic acid and vitamins B6 and B12 help to decrease homocysteine levels. High levels of this amino acid in the blood can lead to heart disease.

now the story gel.. PMS needs vitamin B6 and E and you can find these in cereals. Vitmain B6 can also be found in meats, fish, poultry, legumes, leafy green vegetables, potatoes, bananas, fortified cereals.

*starts to take cereals breakfast religiously*

sand is a boring soul.

things dun seem to be going right these days. feel like moving out but i have reservations. feel like living alone but i doubt so. feel like being alone but find it hard. once in a while such isolation feeling settles in usually when things are not going right. troubled? maybe but shall not elaborate on that. feeling screwed. tried to control myself but didnt end off in a good note. so i run away. realise that when i run away im not feeling happy either and problem is never solved. so i returned and learn to accept. differences in perceptions and values are straining and they cant be even out no matter how much efforts are put in. wonder y i continue and the answers are obvious so i dun have the guts to deviate from status quo.

when i try to be understanding, it doesnt get appreciated. am i over understanding sometimes such that i reserve too much? or am i lacking in it such that people around me cannot feel it? *shrugs shoulders*

came across something interesting which i doubt Singaporeans will experience...

Seasonal affective disorder (also called SAD) is a type of depression that follows the seasons. The most common type of SAD is called winter depression. It usually begins in late fall or early winter and goes away by summer. A less common type of SAD, known as summer depression, usually begins in the late spring or early summer. It goes away by winter. SAD may be related to changes in the amount of daylight during different times of the year.

Symptoms:
- A change in appetite, especially a craving for sweet or starchy foods
- Weight gain
- A heavy feeling in the arms or legs
- A drop in energy level
- Fatigue
- A tendency to oversleep
- Difficulty concentrating
- Irritability
- Increased sensitivity to social rejection
- Avoidance of social situations

Symptoms of summer depression include poor appetite, weight loss and insomnia.

Symptoms of SAD keep coming back year after year, and they tend to come and go at about the same time every year. The changes in mood are not necessarily related to obvious things that would make a certain season stressful (like regularly being unemployed during the winter).

Treatment to SAD:
Winter depression is probably caused by your body's reaction to a lack of sunlight. Light therapy is one option for treating winter depression.

izzit retribution that i over enjoyed today?? if i had not gone online i might have claimed ignornance over tmr's evening training. actually gg back is alrite la. just that the thought of gg back while on leave and is a last minute recall that makes me feel sian-ed. and gotta carry shopping bags and toopid hay-v laptop bag for one whole day. the laptop is really a @$##&!@#&$ cuz it's disgustingly heavy! well accept it and i have kinda settled down. well, i can go back to check emails too since i didnt receive the notification email for tmr training (unless ey striked my name off the mailng list lor) and i suppose it's the home network that's at fault. furthermore anticipating a very impt mail this wk, so gg back earlier to check mails seems reasonable and acceptable to me.

Junhao's bday today and hnf guys went blading. haaaa.. my 2nd time blading. had my fair share of falls tho KK is worse. hehe he came later but he can learn fast. me so ashame *shy* felt so shiok cuz i find i improved from previous time tho controlling while gg downslope is still a prob. at least my muscles didnt ache like the first attempt which i held on to yy and mouse for the entire session.. hahahaa.

You may not know this but many non living things have a gender!

Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.

A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated.

A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part.

Sponges are Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water.A Web Page is Female, because it's always getting hit on.

A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.

An Hourglass is Female, because over time the weight shifts to the bottom.

A Hammer is Male , because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around.

A Remote Control is Female. Ha! You thought it'd be male , didn't you? But consider this - it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn'talways know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!

on leave again! hehehehehe
have about 94 hrs of leave to clear but the transfer likely gonna to take effect soon which means no more frequent leave for me anymore *sobz* but tats a trade off and this was part of consideration before i made the major decision. and i must make sure i leave my dept with no regrets tho i had a minor one just this wk. it's painful to see it come and go in just 5min but i shall live with the fact that it has been finalised. anyway i seldom regret what i do. let it be!

been feeling rather cultured lately *shy* hahahaaha first the dancing class followed by piano. just the thoughts only la dunno how long my temperature can tahan.

went shopping with mae after supporting YY's dragonboat race yesterday at Bedok Reservoir! woke up at ungodly 945am (alarm clock suppose to ring me up at 9am cuz i need slightly more time according to the korea roomies haha). ungodly cuz i slept at 4plus am the nite before after watching the super boring and no-brainer show for guys, called Miami Vice. outright condem!
anyway back to the ungodly 945, since i volunteered to wake up at this ungodly hour i shall ahve no more complaints esp when we witnessed their win in the heats and luckily not their loss in the semis. so all seems to pay off in a way except for the cab fare incurred. chargeable to YY Pte Ltd?

oh diverted from the shopping trip.. came across new fragrance called Niina Ricci. roadside sample seems weak to me but after using the free sample today for 1 whole day, growing to like the sweet lingering smell. haha and the bottle is in the shape of apple with 2 pieces of leaves at the opening. looks cute but the leaves are only available for 50ml and 80ml and now came with free gifts... hmmmm tempted but i shall not b impulsive.

how to plan for my coming leave? seems pack but seems alot of holes too... hahaaa luckily ntu n nus on recess break too... wheeeeeet

now that transfer is confirmed job search is secondary. changng blog skin shud b on the list. searching a present for han oso! aiyo headache ah this one. ooppsss will she accidentally read my blog? if u happen to do so, can pls drop major hint? haahaaa.. will rather give u things that fit ya exotic taste and u like it.
shopping for dnd dress? going mambo? meeting up with frenz? playing mj? going k? celebrating bday? blading? subject to confirmation hahahaaaaaaa

I Am Strong

There was a time when it was hard to see
A future strong and bright where I am free
But then I found the fire
The strength, the heart desire
Bring it on, can't go wrong, I am strong

I am young, hear me cry
Tell the world that I can fly
I believe, cuz it just cant go on and on
I will say, hear me pray
Singing it out all night and day
I will fight, I am brave, I am strong

I said one day that I would show them all
And now I've shown the world that I stand tall
And now I've found the fire
The will to go much higher
Bring it on, can't go wrong, I am strong

I am young, hear me cry
Tell the world that I can fly
I believe, cuz it just cant go on and on
I will say, hear me pray

Singing it out all night and day
I will fight, I am brave, I am strong

Listen to the things they have to say
Holding all in for another day
Take another breath, it will be OK
Bring it on, can't go wrong, I am strong

by North

Deeply affected by this song. Now the morning call song to inspire my day

back from first ballroom dancing class with Dar. enjoyed! had fun turning around at the beginning. finally when it's parnter dance time all the turns came to a mess.. hah teacher say it's the beginning only, will get the hang of it soon. *fingers cross* 7 wks more to go in e midst of work and maybe ot. and i get to supper at rocher beancurd every wk! hehehehe so happy! trying to source for dancing shoes cuz those available at the school werent exactly very nice. only 1 pair there caught my eye and tats hedious SGD190 i shud try harder looking for betta deals which means cheaper yet nicer hehehe
Dar had no prob cuz guys mah how many choices do u have.. merely the difference of having some holes in one and no holes in another or maybe shiny surface and normal leather yet the difference can be as much as 35 bucks. wooohooo investment again but i see the long term returns. shall enjoy with an open heart!

went back to pasta cafe this evening and it had gotten a new facelift. the old country style deco is replaced by white modern layout. now it looks more like a spore style cafe. no longer the country feeling i used to enjoy. menu has been changed too. my favourite crayfish pasta has been replaced by other more fanciful modern pastas such as spaghetti with peking duck (sounded something lidat in such combi) or other farnie combis. tried its new potato and bacon gratin. kinda satisfied cuz i had my fill of baked pasta and lotsa cheese. but it's the deco i still dun like. well things do change and perhaps the boss had decided it's time.

it;s mum's bday tmr and ping's and han's anniversary.
Haooy birthday and happy anniversary for these ladies!

long long 2 mths since i last posted. been too busy and lazy to blog. work took a toll on me for 2 mths, having to stay in office till an average of 1am almost every weekday and having to work on some weekends from home. alls worst if not for the fulfilling korea holiday trip i had with my close frenz. had great fun and wished to return for winter but im broke! lots of photos taken but im too lazy, yet again, to post, maybe when i have the urge after getting hold of all the pics.
y must mh come tempting me to go korea again during winter??? i wish to go too! but for 2 reasons, it's almost impossible - 1st: being auditor means u have to forgo winter snow-ski holidays in the period from Dec to Feb; 2nd: im super broke after the trip simply bcuz things there are ex... sigh... maybe if i strike lottery or some nice nice ppl sponsored me, perhaps i can think of ways to overcome the 1st obstacle. okkk... dream on.... wake me up when money is here

suffered from moderate to serious gastric upset this afternoon just immediately after k... stil wondering what causes the sudden upset... possibility is the lemon tea which i took 5hrs after my lunch plus the empty stomach i had. usually cant leave my stomach empty for more than 4-5hrs which means i must munch something in between and now im suffering. *sobz* gotta give up mambo *sobz more* cuz it still hurts abit now while typing but still cant get to zzzzz

so intended to surf ballroom dancing info cuz starting class later this evening. so excited! hehe

surfed papillio with mae too! and spot on, i saw something... *blink blink*

Kimono black in madrid. seldom set eyes on madrid cuz find that they look aunty-ish on my feet. for once im thinking otherwise.

shopping list can only get longer... wallet, casual bag, sunglass, bangkok, phuket, etc... all need vitamin M. need to put a berhanti to the spree... HEELLLPPPP!
