K.. time to recollect the people I have met during my uni days. Time flies manx, it’s been almost 3 years since I started the exciting journey.

Only know Miao, my long time pal since Sec 2! Really fated to be in the same course and both of us went through the beginning blur period of U together. There’s a companion too! And she’s my roomie for about 3 months.. haa.. cuz both of us miss home too much and we talked to much and ended up not studying during the weekdays when we are in hall and gotta carry loads of books home during weekend to do tutorial. Partly to blame is our fully-equipped room – fridge, tv, radio and loads of food!! How can anyone resist a room like this – so comfy! We did not have to get a toaster or microwave cuz the pantry is just next to our room!! Haha.. strategic location!! Indeed really miss the days when we stayed together, bathe together (as in at the same time but in different cubicles of cuz!), gossip in the bathrooms using nicks to keep secrets so that other people wouldn’t know who we were talking about. But a pity that our self-discipline is too bad and gotta home sweet home!

Well.. then came the lesson and tutorials proper. The first day of tutorial starts of with Organizational Behaviour (OB). That’s a joke manx! Being freshmen, reallie fresh to the max, couldn’t read the tutorial room number. In the end most of my classmates and me went to the wrong tutorial room. It’s supposed to be in the South spine but we went to the north spine instead. All the lost sheep gathered in the wrong room and only found out when no tutor walks in by 845am when the class was supposed to start at 830. Then some kind soul told us that we were in the wrong room. In the midst of waiting, we began to make friends with each other. Think it’s the most effective way of breaking the ice, without the help of an external force! Haha.. met Shui Yun, Hui Qin and can’t really remember the rest of the lost sheep. But that was fun and when tutor wanted us to intro us to one another, we became the closest strangers. Haha.. memorable indeed. But eventually I didn’t stick to this class cuz it starts at ungodly 830am so early though I stayed in hall, it’s still too early for a Monday morning. So I changed to Tuesday 1030 class and left the class. Hee.. but still managed to see many familiar faces in other modules. And most of these people are the ones who stayed with me for the rest of my uni life. Li Ping, Yixiang, Sai Him, Jiayi, Yi Qin and Winnie are among the closest ones. Yixiang is the ultimate! Haha.. so fated to do projects with him throughout these 3 years. At least 4 I think.. But I must admit he’s a motivated team mate and very co-operative, and of cuz he’s smart! And very helpful. And when he is attached, keeps mentioning his beloved gf.. haha.. and he became our jie mei (sister) wor.. Cliqued so well with us and we can talk about so many topics under the sun, including the sensitive ones… haha!!

Then came Yiqin. A pity that she gotta change her arrangement of modules for the rest of her uni life bcuz of her appendicitis operation in the midst of exam. She has been a great fren!! So nice, sweet, kind and helpful!! Can confide in her any time any place. A great listener! But due to different modules arrangement, we couldn’t really catch up with each other as often anymore. But she’s still a fren worth keeping!! Winnie, Yiqin and me always hang out together in school. But dear Winnie decided to give up on accountancy and went on to pursue law. Happy for her cuz law is where her potential can be appreciated! So knowledgeable and well-informed and smart! Though short, we spent so much memorable time together. Those were the days manx! Always so kind of Winnie to offer free rides to and from school.. hee..Winnie, Liping and me will always gossip, laugh loudly and scolded all the lousy drivers in her little green car.. haaa.. miss them so much!

Then came Liping!!! Got closer with her only in Year 1 Sem 2. Since then, we became even closer till now! From an innocent girl to a lame queen.. great transformation indeed. Sweet, hardworking, very bf-oriented and has a good voice. These are good virtues of her, definitely! But she also very gullible and emotional hee.. Has been a very co-operative team mate too.. worked on numerous projects with her over the past 2 years and our chemistry just gets better and better. And she became more and more lame lo.. and she claimed that it’s because of her sisters’ influence.. haa.. indeed I believe it!! Despite the lameness, her jokes definitely brought some life and lighten up the study mood. And can tell her secrets too!! Thanx for being encouraging when I need them!!
Liping brought Louise into our clique too!! A very witty Louise, always study in the last minute, kudos to her attitude towards studies manx! Very good at powerpoint deco.. it’s always great job done with her deco! Thanx for all ya contribution!

Oh Jiayi!! Really get to know her so much better in Year 3! When we began to take train to and from school together and crap so much! This gal ah.. very mean with her words, ok she is straight forward and honest and to the point. But her words are really mean when she scolded her enemies.. haha.. like YF lo.. who made her blood boil to 1000 degree Celsius after each FYP meeting and we gotta try to appease her after her meeting.. but her mood changes quite fast de.. one moment mad, one moment happy.. something I really admire. It’s not easy, at least for me, cuz I will dwell on the past.. Though she’s mean, she’s really nice at times too!! Telling us to sms her when we reach home is good enough. C’mon where to find girls who are so meticulous with each others business nowadays. Eldest among us but act like little girl at times haha.. very fun to tease! There were some unhappy moments during project discussions but everything resumed to normal the next day. Wonder how she can do tat.. but I still admire her courage! Liping, Jiayi and Me are the gossipers manx! San Ba Club is officially launched with these 3 managing directors! Not something to be proud of but that’s what brought us closer I must admit! But we have our ethics also – never twist the facts and only confirm the rumors after attestation. Afterall we are future auditors wad, must adhere to code of ethics ma! *crap* haa…

How can I forget my FYP mates!!! Cedric and Vin!!! So farnie duo!! And very gossipy especially Cedric who always have the juiciest news about NBS students. A smart guy manx!! And a man of wise words.. haha.. sometimes la.. We went through the tedious FYP days together, had so much fun despite having to catch the last train home almost every night when the deadline was nearing. Remember there was once when we missed the last train from Boon Lay and gotta take cab home. Me and Vin shared the same cab cuz we stayed in the north and poor Cedric has to bear the full cost of cab fare plus midnight charge. Vin, so gentleman of him to instruct the cab driver to take the specific routes, sort of warning the driver not to take any quiet routes and even reminded me not to fall asleep just in case the driver drove me to some quiet places. So sweet of him to do that! Shuhui is a fortunate girl! Hee.. In the end the cab driver turned out to be a nice uncle. He chatted with me throughout the journey so that I wouldn’t fall asleep and even offered to wait for me to get to my house void deck before he drove off cuz it was very late at night already and he’s concerned about my safety. To think that Vin and I gave him a different judgment in the beginning.. hee.. Always remember the times when we were trying to help Cedric solve his problem with his gf.. conversations were always so funny and each time I learnt new things, new news and new gossip.. hehe

Then there are some other frenz like Sai Him.. woo.. smart guy!! Very hardworking and can always tune to the same frequency as the tutors. Not a single tutor failed to notice him! Then there’s Wenwei! The doctor-in-charge of my computer. An IT wizard!! Had operated on my computer twice and really grateful to him! Still remember he shoot Prof during AA212 class on the first day of tutorial and shocked everyone! Never will I think that he will one day be our friend and even did FYP with Liping and Louise. Upon knowing him more, he’s really not a nasty guy. Instead, he’s very helpful and thoughtful!




Well it’s the last day of being a full-time student and taking my last paper as a full-time student.. *hopefully that’s the case* all will be out on the 27th may.. which is like exactly a month from now. Anyway all the exam dust is settled now. Be it good or not I shall leave it to fate! No point crying over spilled milk right!!

Supposed to meet Van tonight but we pushed to tomorrow le! Gonna shop till we drop manx!! Haha.. Poor Ting injured her finger couple of days ago.. But we will wait for your finger to recover and reinstate our plan k! In the meanwhile rest well!!

Promise to credit my palz after my exam.. they are still arranging in my head.. gonna make it a good one and mentioned the credits they deserve!!

Tmr goona be many of my frenz' last paper.. all the best! Especially Dar who has been working so hard for this sem's exam!


was studying just now and suddenly all the friends i have came across over the past 3 years came to my mind and started figuring out the testimonials i have for them.. but dun have time to write now.. will return with more detailed testimonials for each and everyone who have set foot in my life and make my uni life so beautiful and memorable...

back to studying.. er.. actually is back to tv.. hehe.. 5pm channel U show by Xiao Zhu is v entertaining.. haha


interestingly i have been thinking of my greatest fear in life - to be alone! something i established only recently.. quite daunting when my fren's mum just passed away recently.. im afraid to have no one to take care of me .. haha.. tho i have been alone with no siblings for the past 22 years, that didnt helped me in anyway to cope with loneliness.. perhaps my loneliness is not lack of frens or dear ones around me but to have no one to rely on whenever i need..
friends may not be able to be there whenever u need them and sometimes there are constraints as to the things u may confide in them.. so it's only a limited number of frens left whom u can reallie talk heart-to-heart to..

and what u value most of the fear?? closeness with people..


mum bought a portuguese egg tart cuz i kept pestering her haha.. in fact i have been pestering everyone whom i met over the past 2 wks of study break for port egg tarts.. not many ppl are victims tho since it's the study period.. haah.. the tart tat mum bought is not very crispy lei.. i wan better ones!!

that reminds me .. Righteousoh.. u still owe me portuguese egg tarts!!! gonna haunt u after exams before u break ya promise.. muahahah


Out of boredom im back to blog after quite a long break.. have been very tied down by exam for the past few weeks and it got so intensive last weekend cuz I had a paper on fri and another one on the following mon.. finally they are over.. I have mentioned about the blunders I made for Friday paper and shall not swell on the unhappy things.. at least mon 18th April was a happy day though I had a paper in the morning.. it was Thia’s and Yixiang’s birthdays!! Happie Belated Birthday, Palz!! Will upload the photos after my exams k..

That evening was great manx!! Went for good food.. ok gotta discount for the food we had at Centre Stage in Marina Square.. well the food didn’t taste that bad but the serving is really miser. It is in fact a new concept restaurant in Marina Square whereby u have 5 restaurants (think there’s 5, if not 6) restaurants of differing taste and style. There’s Thai, Indonesian, Japanese, Italian and Chinese restaurants and a centre area where u can order food from all the restaurants. So it’s like u can taste all the food there but that’s not what we got. Instead we were given a menu to choose from a list of dishes available from each restaurant. The list wasn’t very long and all the dishes are more of finger food, if not food that are not filling (at least for the 5 of us who are big eaters). All of us were surprised by the serving of each dish but the taste of the food could somehow compensate for the serving. And it’s almost $90 for that dinner, not exactly very worthwhile for the servings. Lesson learnt: Never believe the tv programs that recommend these so-called nice places to eat. As I learnt about this place from a tv show, I had my lesson learnt manx!

Proceeded to Fullerton One to have dessert at Bakers’ Inn!! Yea.. haven’t been there for a long time… miss the cakes and desserts there!! Had my filling that nite too.. haha.. we got a piece of cake for Thia and 2 other desserts!! Sumptuous manx!! Simply deeeleecious!! Haha… took a lot of photos that nite too.. 5 of us haven’t really had many decent photos all these years… goodness upon counting it’s 8 years!! Time to make up for all the losses.. will post it soon.. I promise!!

Tuesday was spent in NUS Biz Lib with Dar, Greg and Daniel. What a conducive place to study – very quiet and comfortable. A pity that I realize it only now, won’t have much chance to study there anymore. But too all my NUS frenz who will have some years ahead, do frequent the Biz Lib if u wanna a quiet place to study k!

Rest of the week was spent studying Risk.. damn!! So much to study and memorize. Cant’t remember what I have read earlier in the week. The next few days gonna be a speedy refresher course! Hang on for a few more days and I’ll be free!!

To all my dear frenz out there: The gloomy days will soon be over! Hang on there for a couple more days and you get your deserved break le!! To people who have fallen sick, take good care k!!


just returned from the first day of my final battle in ntu.. and it's the most worrying one.. wrote an analysis that gave different result from most people.. darn...hope i wont get penalized too heavily.. pamsy and shoba should be nice ppl ba... *praying*

hands pain.. head pain.. heart pain.. all because of exam... i wan this period of pain to be over soon!! and must end with a big bang.. fairy tales always have a happy ending right.. though this period is not a fairy tale but i still wanna preserve the happy ending!!!


all the plans for today were spoilt!! people had their plans in the evening but all told me in the last minute.. and wads worst im excluded!!.. am i suppose to accept it happily?? or isit wishful thinking on my part that my evening will be spent outside of the house.. must be woman's nature at work.. can never sort things out logically when u are mad.. terrible feeling.. darn.. spoilt my mood for the entire day.. i need to study de wor.. and now there's this kind of nonsense bothering me at this critical period, stirring the lava of my volcano... count the volcano in me to rational enough to blow up in my room all by myself when im finally left alone.. thank goodness no one is hurt by the blast..
just when i was cooling down.. received this enlightening phrase 'We make a living by what we get, We will make a life by what we give' meangingful ya.. make no reservation to what you wanna give in life to the loved ones around you.. afterall life is about giving n taking.. can never have absolute demand and no supply rite.. market will break down de.. must be the after effects of too much studying.. anyway feels slightly, yes slightly only, betta after giving some thoughts to this phrase.. but the flame still couldnt subside to nil..

crave for portuguese egg tarts is still on.. since yesterday.. sheesh... someone pls tell where to get superb portuguese egg tarts? will settle for second best for the time being..

looks like have to settle my dinner with the few pieces of pandan bread left after this morning breakfast... saturday evening and i have to bread... grrrrr....


woo.. it's been a long while since i last blog.. almost a week already.. well.. what else have been keeping me busy except for school and the horrifying EXAMS!!! the entire week has been spent on last minute compiling of references for Policitcal Econs.. goodness.. it's a huge stack!! can i ever finish reading them?? it doesnt help in comforting when the sources of readings are still flowing... credits to my frenz who have helped out in compiling.. less than 2 weeks for revision for 3 modules.. i shud have confidence that i can manage.. no matter what, will have to find a way out i guess..

so wad have happened over the past week??
Monday was spent studying at home.. finally!! haha.. needs to pick up the momentum sharply from now on..

Tuesday was a joke manx! Supposed to accompany Thia to a career seminar in NUS in the evening but ended up leaving the audi before it started.. cuz she realise that the company is recruiting engineers, not her major.. so we left earlier for dinner with Mh and Dar at Clementi Hawker Centre.. haha.. Dar was so amazed at the humongous appetite that 3 gals have! Zui Kuay, Fried Hokkien Mee, Satay, Oyster Omelette, Wu Xiang (chinese mixed fried rojak, dun reallie know how to translate.. hehe) and Sugar cane juice for 4 people and Dar surrendered before we did.. haha... well not very healthy food but once in a while, pamper yourself with a hearty meal will be justified i guess.. a chance for frenz to catch up too.. hehe

Wednesday was spent at home studying again.. every minute is precious from now on all the way till 27th April!! looking forward to this date manx!

Thurday.. oh.. My FINAL lecture in NTU.. hopefully it will be the final la.. felt kinda sad .. afterall have been spending the past three years in NTU and had been to so many lecture theatres and classes.. so many wonderful, happy, unhappy things (dun realliy rem if there is but thats life, happiness will be balanced with unhappiness) have happened in the LT.. lectures are always the time when we catch up not only with my clique but also with frenz whom i seldom get to talk to and managed to catch up for a while before the lecture starts or in between breaks.. it's also a time when ppl start exchanging notes during the break time.. and u see all kinds of ppl walking around - those with ultra short skirts/shorts, casually dressed and some overly-dressed ones.. polarity just stretch. Many people started taking photographs in the LT on Tuesday, at first i thought that it's kinda exaggerating.. but when my last lecture finally ended on thursday, i did feel a bit of sadness and cant help taking a few pics with my miserable VGA phone.. afterall what's more important is the memories ya..
also.. it's the first time without Risk seminar on a thursday.. but in the end went home later than a normal thursday cuz we were settling our final SM report.. that should mark our real final shareholders' meeting.. ended with a big laugh, all thanks to our dear Ping who was so lame throughout.. haha.. bet we are the only group in the cohort who can enjoy every project discussion to the max, had great fun and bonding time together.. of cuz there are times when ideas conflicted, we all managed to resolve amicably.. wonderful isnt it!! doubt that will be the case when we start work in a few months time.. praying for the best..

Today is TGIF!! normal lessons for SM and PE.. sigh as usual Prof Wan is eating crab today again.. Hardly touched on the case scheduled for discussion lor.. Spent the first 30min talking abt irrelevant stuffs again.. like how defiant he is by not following the word limit set by his tutors or exam questions and went on to score well despite the non-compliance.. that's him la.. luckily there's help from Weiling who lent us some of her SM notes.. but still not complete.. will continue the search for more in the next few days..
Worked real hard today.. stayed back to study after class with jy.. at least finished what i set out to study today.. gonna continue after this post..

shall sign off with a phrase i came across just now while surfing net and find it kinda encouraging towards life.. Work Like You Don't Need Money, Love Like You've Never Been Hurt.. In life, give the best you can, rewards are just part of results.. Most importantly, be happy with what you do and don't live life with regrets..
