It is officially the new beginning of 2007!! Happy New Year to all folks!! 2007 a.k.a the year of pig is not supposedly be a good year for the pigs like me and most of my fellows. oh well, who cares, make the best out of all situations and stay strong, happy and loved!!! and everyone do take good care of one's health.
ppl say it's time for resolutions at the start of every new year but i can hardly think of any. perhaps i will wanna resolve certain problems i have with certain ppl but simply put i do not know of a way to go about doing it and escaping seems to be the route im taking now. let nature take its course. im leaving everything to the person and im not taking any initiative. probably the awkward moment will be next month come CNY. oh well, lets see what will erupt then.
lookin back @ 2006 im pretty happy with what i had gone through. I grew with all the ups and downs and straightened alot of thoughts. to summarize:
1. Business trips @ Suzhou, China for close to 2 months (really miss the overseas business trips though they are hectic and crazy but that's how i grow and learn lots more)
2. Toured Korea in September with FTB close gers for holidays.
3. Went Genting, Malaysia with family for some short getaway and test of luck, won and also lost all winnings.
4. Toured Phuket with Dar for anniversary. Im glad it happened :)
5. Tried diving and swimming in open sea (with a life jacket haha) in Phuket
6. Be able to skate on my own though not very zai
7. Friendship with gfs reached another level as we try to make time amongst busy schedule. Now that we are all graduates, it's another stage of life we gotta stand by each other.
8. Generally relationships with most ppl around me grew closer with time. There's more understanding and compromise such that everything can be settled amicably.
9. Signed up for first credit card and yesh i have a new resolution for 2007 - To budget my expenses properly and save more.
10. Met Dar parents after 4yrs together. Glad that all things turned out well and much betta than expected.
11. Changed department after much discussions and dealings with management. It's still a learning process for me currently after the change and im gonna face the first peak in AABS. Not expecting much difference but style of working is definitely different. Met with quite a number of challenges since i switched department and so far still able to resolve them with my might. With the change in environment came more new friends. There are many i really enjoy being with. Yet there are also some in the old dept whom i miss. Some have left the firm and those moments of joy were still very vivid esp those gossipping in the pantry. *oopsss*
12. FTB realizes the pain of not meeting up yet in the midst of it realizes how close we have been. Though there's fewer meetups towards end of 2006, the urge to meet up stays strong. That's when we know we miss each and everyone. Glad that we ended our last 2006 gathering with a big bang!
13. Took up Ballroom Dancing in september and i enjoyed!! Really hoping that can proceed to intermediate class but seems not possible cuz Dar has alot to settle in 1st half of 2007. *fingers crossed*
Resolutions would be:
1. To save more. Now that i have a future to envision and something to look forward in 2008, I have motivation to save and for the sake of future, I will work harder. That will mean i cant spend impulsively and my exploding wardrobesSS (2 to be precise) shall serve as reminders to me cuz i have no more space for new wardrobe. What's more - there is GST hike in 2007 *faint* and paying of income tax for the first time!!!! haizz was checking out tax brackets in the States with Dar and realise Spore tax rate is actually quite low. But there are many other considerations la.. haizzz
2. To be a better human. This is a recurring resolution cuz humans are never perfect which also means that we always have to keep developing ourselves and make ourself a better man.In terms of attitude, behaviour, temper and all aspects of an earthling, ought to control better and bring joy and happiness to folks around me.
All in all, 2006 cant be better without all those ppl who made them possible and im glad i have u guys and gals who are there with me when i needed most. 2006 was smashing and 2007 can only get better!
