Allow me to give my feedback on Vivo City day trip on 21 Oct 2006 hahaa
Agreed to watch The Departed at Vivo GVMax. Movie supposed to commence at 125pm. and mind i say supposed. haaa
left Dar's place at ungodly 105pm*faint* forever late lor! anyway, we were speculating if the exact location of Vivo is where the old Harbour Front center is located and wondering where the carpark is. before we could clear our doubts, the jam that began all the way ourside PSA proved that Vivo is nearing! So is the indication for carparks! Sooo we started to look out for the carparks. Wonder if it is the crowd to Sentosa or crowd to Vivo is larger. Anyway i think no diff i tink. jam wasnt slow, in fact we managed to get to carpark 2 within 5-8min tho i still rumbled abt being late for movie *bleah*. Vivo has 3 carparks, totalling over 4,000 parking lots (sidetrack: not 2,179 horr, Dr. Loke) . I like their first 3 hrs free parking system, not sure if it's an opening deal only or permanent system. Of cuz hoping for permanent system. hehe. parking fee was $2.20 for our 5hrs stay there. So perhaps per hr is $1.10 after the 3hrs free parking.
Upon alighting from car, 2 dummies lost their way. Ok the carpark is huge is one thing but dint know they have 7 storeys worth of carpark and to think that we tot "cineplex should be at the last 2 storeys" and on we pressed button "6" thinking that box office would be at level 6. Lift door opened and found ourselves in carpark again! *faint* looking for a directory for each level is difficult as construction is still underway and signboards in the lifts are not up yet. FInally found one at dunno which level and wala... cineplex at level 2!!!
haiyooo the crowd is horrible + terrible + incorrigible! A gentle birds eye view from the slop just outside the lift made both of us fear. Too many tiny little "ants" oredi. No matter what, still have to find the cineplex. We were at lobby N (at one end of the building) and the goodness GV is at the other end. SO many turns at level 2 but we chose to go straight all the way and luckily we made it there, in the midst of push and crowd. No much pushing, in fact, cuz the corridor or rather the walkway is rather wide and can accomodate many ppl without having to skin-on-skin.
"If ever there is a terrorist attack here, 1/10 of Singaporeans would be gone", Dr. Loke
Despite me being short in the crowd, i spotted few gers taking a second glance at Dr. Loke *roll eyes*
Finally found GV and got our tickets. I mentioned the show supposed to begin at 125pm right. We reached there 10min late and adverts were ongoing still. haaa.. singaporeans are never early, so are the movies in singapore *bleah* i like the popcorn at GV vivo hehe.. crispy, salted ones are not too saltish, their sweet ones are just nice! G popcorn! but the ice lemon tea is slightly no tea-taste. oh well, im satisfied with the popcorn. Aircon is not too cold too. In spagh but hardly uses my shawl. hehe
Show ended and went shopping!! i want to shop but dread the long Q in boutiques yet Dr. Loke happily picked one jacket after another. Hellooo... Who needed shopping therapy ah!?! In the end both of us bagged on one jacket each. I wanted more clothes but time doesnt allow, stomach growled, dressing room Qs were way too long and mirrors were shared by 3 ppl at the same time. Shall return on a weekday. Need more than 1 weekday in fact. Maybe 5!!! heee Parrot 1... u see this?? hehehe
Guys had no prob trying on clothes la. Saw this boy took off his shirt and tried new one in the shop, not in the changing room wor! Looks like more guys are picking up girls' Mango-sale tactic. lolx
Unknowingly we walked into Harbour Front Centre cuz we keep walking straight and straight for some pasta. Den unknowingly made our way to the Sky Garden or watever it is called. It has a waterfront promenade, open-air amphitheatre and open-air courtyard which has this pool that allows kids to have fun. View wasnt too bad tho the haze was in existence, just treat that i was in genting with warmer temperature. haaa.. the Promenade was similar to Esplanade waterfront. Overseeing Sentosa is not too bad, when IR is up, think the view will be even better. Perhaps this will be the new site for fireworks!
All in all.. i like vivo! will be back for more!
Crowd may be smaller after a few months.
Opppssss v v long post... sorry!
