Having experienced the incident of rumours spreading made me believe that the tongue is the most powerful weapon in harming a person's reputation and interpersonal faith and trust. I was in a state of shock and mess when I heard the news. I have no idea who to trust, whose statements to believe and who is telling the truth or who is interpreting the news differently. After some deep thoughts into the possibilities and confrontations, I chose to believe the person whom I almost doubted in the first place. My understanding of this fren plays a large role and I am quite sure that he will never distort facts. However, as I grow older with the days, the line between angels and devils is blurred with skepticism, dishonesty and distrust. Almost everyone is likely to wear a mask, some even have multiple masks, and how are we going to identify each and every one??? The lessons in identifying the hypocrites can be very painful but that's just how life works. Life is never fair. Lesson just learnt will serve as a stepping stone for me to protect myself from the likely blows I may encounter in time to come.
