Sometimes you just cannot believe that things happened for a reason. And the series of incidents that occurred this morning made me believe more…
Woke up early this morning to take a jab for my hk trip that starts tomorrow. Well, usually I wake up at 10plus in the morning if I do not have anything on in the afternoon. And just so nice that me and mummy had breakfast together after donkey years (cuz I seldom wake up early and so I haven been going market with mummy for a long time let alone eating breakfast at the hawker centre).. Ok… so we had breakfast.. and we saw neighbors that we haven seen for a long time. So we started to chit chat for quite a while. Then finally I can make my way to the clinic for my jab.
At the clinic, the assistant whom I met 21 years ago is still working there. She is still serving the same doctor. The doctor is my dad’s long-time fren. Haha.. everything feels the same but with a little more warmth. Started to chat with the assistant and how I have grown up and all. And I realized that for the past 21 years I do not have a single consultation/ appointment card though I have been visiting the same doctor all these years. Why is that so?? Cuz the assistant always knows my name. Haha.. When it’s my turn, I chatted with Dr. Koh too. Haha.. he told him his graduation trip back then after his houseman training. He went Malaysia with another pal and spent only $65 for a trip that lasted 7 seven days. Haha.. $65 is never possible for the current living standard in the world today, probably it’s only enough to entitle you to a coach ticket. But from the way Dr. Koh reminiscences his trip, I could tell that memories were really sweet for him. I also hoped that my trip will be a memorable one.
Followed on, it’s one call that brought me back to further memories!
Mummy called to say that she’s leaving the market soon. So I rushed back to hawker to meet her so I can help her carry stuffs. BUT I met up with my primary school friends instead!!! Haha.. so surprised to see them there!! Cuz I haven been able to catch up with many of my primary school frens cuz I moved house too many times and back then there is no such thing as email and handphones that enhance communication. So in the end I lost contact with most of them. But today, I seemed to see the glim of hope. Wanxin and Wei Liang have been some of the closer ones back then in primary school. Wanxin has been keeping in contact with most other pals. Wanxin has changed a lot and I only recognized her when she came up to me after Weiliang said hello and recognized her through her voice. Haha… after all it has been almost 10 years since we last met. A decade manx!!!
Weliang is gonna take his driving test this coming Wednesday .. All the best!!
And we gonna have plans to go out after I come back from HK. Feels so good to be able to meet old friends and have some time chatting the past and how innocent we were.. Haha.. dun puke!
