Back with exciting episodes over the past few days..
Was out ktv-ing with my uni frenz on Monday. Actually it was supposed to be a meeting to plan for our itinerary in HK. But in the end, nothing seems accomplished la.. haha.. But still thanks to JY who did a draft and makes our life easier. Hehe… Oh why can’t we accomplish much on Monday?? Cuz Will brought his 3-year-old nephew along!!! Haha.. Martin is a cutie!!!! Adorable, beautiful eyes with long eye lashes and chubby looks with very deep dimples!!! Barney car is his favourite!!! Haha… it doesn’t take a long time to build rapport with him if you tell him u will treat him to Barney Car. Haha.. Also he v ‘tan chi’ likes to eat so by feeding him, he became closer to us! Even gave us his kisses!!! His uncle happily left the job of feeding to me and he himself went chatting with the rest! So nice of you Will.. haha .. Ya lor.. so that’s why we couldn’t do much planning on Mon and went off ktv-ing after the meeting but only WW, Ping, JY and moi went!
WW began to love k-ge already!! Haha.. so fun to be able to sing duet with a ‘decent guy’!! Cuz every time 3 of us (Ping, JY and moi) sing duet right, someone will have to sing the male part. So that day there’s WW to sing with us.. haha
Anyway.. that’s Monday lo..
Tuesday was off exchanging hk currency at raffles place. Indeed this exchanger offers better rate than his neighbouring competitors. (We did a survey.) Louise got Galvin to escort her to raffles place cuz she’s afraid of robbery as she was carrying a lot of $$$. HAha.. so farnie..
Then we went to Queensway to buy shoes. I bought a pair of track shoes and it was at 35% discount. Indeed Queensway shopping centre is THE place to get good bargain. This pair will be useful on Wednesday.
Made my first visit to Pulau Ubin on Wednesday!! Haha.. the guys v bad manx.. they were scaring me before the trip started that I will get my white top dirty cuz will be v muddy. But luckily it wasn’t the case. But my new track shoes suffered a little black stains.
We went to Chek Jawa! Actually we took this ‘no entry’ route to get to the shore. But the guys know the way so we followed!! Water there is so clear and it’s pretty beautiful. Took some pictures there but will upload soon. I met with a small mini accident la.. was walking on the rocks but they were too slippery already and so my knee got some cuts and scratches when I fell off the rocks. Saw some mudskippers and sewaeed. Didn't get to see my dearest fren - Boar haha.. i might have stepped on some starfish but can't really see clearly at some parts near the mangroves..
The journey was tedious manx!! Or rather I haven been doing much workout and so I felt super tedious especially up the slopes!!! Terrible manx!! Haa.. ought to start training up already. This holiday shall be the good time for training!!
Anyway along the way saw many huts and houses that were so kampong-like. Reminds me of the times when I stayed in my grandparents’ houses in Sembawang. Back then, Sembawang kampong was one of the last to be demolished to make way for the existing HDB flats and shopping centres, particularly Sun Plaza. The ride along Ubin paths brought back many beautiful memories!
And guess what. We saw 2 cobras!!!! Jason went close to them cuz he’s the first to spot them. I even stopped in front of the cobra cuz I was so scared stiff! As a matter of fact, I AM VERY AFRAID OF SNAKES!!! Don’t like the creatures with no legs and can only glide around and I hate their skins.. Just sends shiver down my spine whenever I see snakes and their skins!! Can’t even let me see still pictures of them cuz I am just too scared le!! Anyway.. out of point le.. haha
The second cobra that we saw was trying to prey a toad but we saved the toad cuz the cobra saw us coming and immediately dropped the toad and left. Exciting journey manx..
We even went to the quarry. Ok we are not supposed to enter for safety reasons but we still don’t care la.. Breathtaking sight!! Beautiful manx!! But I really wonder how can people swim in the pond cuz the cliff is very steep and there doesn’t seem to be any way up or down.
Anyway I gotta leave early cuz there’s some last minute plan in the evening! And I was reallie dead tired!! Now I’m slightly tan and it’s quite obvious cuz I am actually quite far. My thighs are so painful now la.. wonder if I can make it to hk on sun.. With more stretching, my legs should be able to recover in time. Haha..
Luckily my student cancelled today’s tuition, if not I will have to toil my way to Chai Chee liao.. haha
